CLASS OF 2026 HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS

Delaware State University is currently inviting nominations for its 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame class. Eligible candidates include former Hornet student-athletes who graduated or fulfilled their eligibility before 2021, having participated in at least two years of one or more sports. Nominations are also welcome for former Delaware State University coaches, administrators and supporters of the University's athletics program. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 22.

Join a Delaware SHIP Community Conversation on Tuesday, April 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center. A virtual option via Zoom is also available.
Students living in Kent County are invited to share ideas, raise concerns and be part of the conversation on building a healthier Delaware.

Softball
The Delaware State Hornets broke through after a 0-0 tie in the fifth inning to defeat the North Carolina Central Eagles 3-1 on Sunday. Junior Kristin White got the win for the Hornets, going seven innings, giving up one run on seven hits, allowing one walk and striking out six.
Men's and Women's Outdoor Track
On Thursday and Friday, the Delaware State Men's and Women's track and field program closed out their two-day meet, securing consecutive first-place finishes and new rankings at the University of Delaware Invitational.
Baseball
Michael Lane dominated on Friday, fanning 11 Maryland-Eastern Shore hitters over 6.2 innings of work to help lead the Delaware State Hornets over the Hawks 5-4.
